Elo Edge Connect 3D Camera

The Elo Edge Connect 3D Camera, product code E134699, is a commercial-grade depth-sensing camera accessory designed for compatible Elo touchscreen systems. The black camera can support facial recognition, facial authentication, access control, customer identification, gesture tracking, self-service applications, and augmented or virtual-reality experiences. These capabilities require compatible third-party software or application integration and are not provided by the camera alone.

The camera combines RGB imaging with 3D depth sensing to add depth information to captured images. Elo states that this can support anti-spoofing and liveness-detection applications, providing stronger biometric-verification capabilities than a conventional 2D camera when used with appropriate software. Its operating range extends from approximately 0.25 to 1.5 metres, making it suitable for kiosks, authentication terminals and other close-range interactive installations.

Depth imaging supports 1280 × 800 at 30 frames per second or 640 × 400 at 60 frames per second. The RGB camera supports 1920 × 1080 at 30 frames per second or 1280 × 720 at 30 frames per second. The depth sensor provides a field of view of 67.9° horizontally, 45.3° vertically and 78° diagonally, while the RGB camera provides 71.5° horizontally, 56.7° vertically and 84° diagonally. The device is classified as a Class 1 laser product.

The E134699 attaches directly to a compatible touchscreen through the Elo Edge Connect system, allowing the camera to be installed and oriented around the display without requiring a separate desktop mounting system. Officially listed compatible devices include selected Elo I-Series touchcomputers, EloPOS systems, 1002L through 2702L touchscreen monitors, and selected 3202L through 6553L touchscreen-signage models. Elo also provides an SDK for integrating the camera with compatible software.

The camera is powered by a 5V DC connection, measures approximately 119.48 × 53.45 × 20.28 mm, and weighs approximately 0.2 lb (0.09 kg) without packaging.
